Steady State Theory

The Steady State Theory is an idea about the universe suggesting that it is eternal and unchanging on a large scale. According to this theory, as the universe expands, new matter is continuously created to fill the gaps, so its overall appearance remains the same over time. This concept contrasts with the Big Bang Theory, which posits that the universe began from a hot, dense state and has been expanding since. While Steady State Theory was popular in the mid-20th century, it has lost favor due to supporting evidence for the Big Bang, like cosmic background radiation.
