Sher Shah Suri

Sher Shah Suri was a prominent 16th-century ruler in India, known for founding the Suri Empire after defeating the Mughal emperor Humayun. He effectively governed northern India and is celebrated for his administrative reforms, including an efficient tax system and the establishment of a network of roads, which bolstered trade and communication. Sher Shah also initiated the use of a silver currency, enhancing economic stability. His most enduring legacy is the Grand Trunk Road, a major trade route that still exists today.
