Humayun

Humayun was the second Mughal emperor of India, ruling from 1530 to 1540, and again from 1555 until his death in 1556. He was the son of Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire. Humayun faced challenges from rival rulers, leading to his temporary exile after losing to Afghan leader Sher Shah Suri. He later regained his throne with Persian support. Humayun is notable for his turbulent reign and for inspiring architectural achievements, including the famous Humayun's Tomb in Delhi, which set a precedent for Mughal mausoleums and influenced later Indian architecture.
