Sur Dynasty
The Sur Dynasty was a Muslim dynasty that ruled parts of northern India from 1540 to 1545. Founded by Sher Shah Suri, a prominent military leader, it briefly interrupted the Mughal Empire's control in the region. The Sur Dynasty is known for its administrative reforms, military innovations, and the construction of infrastructure like roads and forts, which improved governance and trade. Although short-lived, it had a lasting impact by challenging Mughal authority and setting principles for efficient governance. After Sher Shah's death, the Mughal Empire regained power, but the Sur Dynasty's reforms influenced subsequent Indian governance and infrastructure.
