Sarnath is a significant historical and religious site in India, located near Varanasi. It is renowned as the place where Gautama Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment, teaching the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. This event marked the beginning of Buddhism as a religion.
