Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, a time for reflection, renewal, and spiritual introspection. It usually falls in September or October and marks the beginning of the High Holy Days. Traditionally, people attend synagogue services, listen to the shofar (a ram's horn), and share festive meals that often include symbolic foods, such as apples dipped in honey for a sweet new year. Rosh Hashanah emphasizes themes of repentance and seeking forgiveness, as it leads into Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, where deeper introspection occurs. It is a time for setting intentions for the year ahead.
