
Ram Nath Kovind
Ram Nath Kovind is an Indian lawyer and politician who served as the 14th President of India from July 2017 to July 2022. Born on October 1, 1945, in Uttar Pradesh, he was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and previously served as the Governor of Bihar. Kovind is known for his advocacy of social justice and education, especially for marginalized communities. As President, he represented India in various ceremonial capacities and played a role in the legislative process, including giving assent to bills. He is the first President from Uttar Pradesh and the second from a scheduled caste background.
