Rajendra Chola I was a prominent Indian ruler from the Chola dynasty who reigned from 1014 to 1044 CE. He is best known for expanding the Chola Empire, making it one of the most powerful in South India and beyond. He carried out extensive naval expeditions, including campaigns in Southeast Asia, which spread Tamil culture and influence.
