Qutb Shahis

The Qutb Shahi dynasty was a Muslim royal family that ruled the Deccan region of India, particularly in and around Hyderabad, from the early 16th to the late 17th centuries. Founded by Sultan Quli Qutb Shah, it was known for its significant contributions to architecture, culture, and arts, blending Persian, Indian, and Afghan influences. The Qutb Shahis constructed impressive structures like the Golconda Fort and the Qutb Shahi tombs. Their reign was marked by a flourishing of literature and a cosmopolitan atmosphere before the dynasty fell to the Mughal Empire, leading to its eventual decline.
