
Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah
Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah (1565-1611) was the fifth ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty in Golconda, India. He is known for founding the city of Hyderabad in 1591, named after his beloved wife, Hyder Mahal. Quli Qutb Shah was a patron of the arts and promoted Persian literature and architecture, blending Islamic and Indian styles. He is also noted for his contributions to the development of Urdu poetry.
