Qualitative and Quantitative Assessment
Qualitative assessment focuses on the qualities or characteristics of general knowledge, such as understanding concepts, critical thinking, and creativity. It evaluates how well someone can articulate ideas or analyze information. Quantitative assessment, on the other hand, measures knowledge through numerical data, such as test scores or multiple-choice questions, which provide a clear, measurable indication of how much someone knows. Both assessments are important: qualitative gives depth and insight, while quantitative offers clarity and comparability. Together, they provide a comprehensive picture of someone's knowledge.
