Project Cybersyn

Project Cybersyn was an ambitious initiative developed in Chile during the early 1970s under President Salvador Allende. Its goal was to create a cybernetic system to manage the country's economy more efficiently. Utilizing real-time data, it aimed to monitor and control production processes through a network of computers, enhancing decision-making and resource allocation. The project combined technology, sociology, and systems theory, and included a digital communication network, a management software called Cyberstride, and a graphical interface known as the Opsroom. While innovative, it was short-lived due to political changes in Chile.
