Plant Cell

Plant cells are the building blocks of plants, distinguished from animal cells by their unique features. They have a rigid cell wall made of cellulose that provides structure and support. Inside, they contain chloroplasts, which capture sunlight to make food through photosynthesis, giving plants their green color. Plant cells also have a large central vacuole that stores water and nutrients, helping maintain turgor pressure for rigidity. Additionally, they possess organelles like the nucleus and mitochondria, essential for cellular functions and energy production. Together, these components enable plants to grow, reproduce, and adapt to their environment.
