Planetary Systems
Planetary systems consist of a star and the celestial bodies that orbit it, including planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. Our solar system is a prime example, with the Sun at its center and eight planets, including Earth, orbiting around it. These systems form from clouds of gas and dust that collapse under gravity, creating a star surrounded by a rotating disk where planets develop. The study of planetary systems helps us understand the formation of planets, their potential for supporting life, and the diverse environments that exist in the universe.
