Party of Labour of Albania

The Party of Labour of Albania was a political organization that led the country during its communist era, from 1946 until the early 1990s. Founded in the aftermath of World War II, it was based on Marxist-Leninist principles and was closely aligned with the Soviet Union. The party was known for its one-party rule, central planning, and state control over the economy. Following the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, the Party of Labour lost power, and many of its members transitioned to new political parties. Today, it is largely considered part of Albania's political history.
