Socialist People's Republic of Albania
The Socialist People's Republic of Albania was a country in Southeastern Europe that existed from 1946 to 1992. It was a communist state with a government controlled by the Albanian Party of Labor, aligned with the Soviet Union and later China. The country was largely isolated, with a focus on state control over the economy and society. Under its leadership, Albania aimed to create a classless society, emphasizing atheism and strict social policies. After the fall of communism in 1992, Albania transitioned to a democratic republic, moving away from its socialist past.
