Palaeolithic

The Palaeolithic, or Old Stone Age, is a prehistoric period that lasted from about 2.5 million years ago to around 10,000 BCE. It marks the first phase of human development, characterized by the use of simple stone tools and the emergence of early humans. During this time, humans lived as hunter-gatherers, relying on wild animals and plants for food. Social structures were often small and nomadic, with groups moving to find resources. The Palaeolithic is significant for the development of art, language, and culture, laying the groundwork for later periods of human history.
