National Armed Forces (Narodowe Siły Zbrojne)
The National Armed Forces (Narodowe Siły Zbrojne, NSZ) was a Polish underground military organization formed during World War II. Established in 1944, it consisted primarily of soldiers who opposed both Nazi occupation and, later, Soviet influence in Poland. The NSZ aimed to defend Polish sovereignty and was part of the broader resistance movement. After the war, many of its members faced persecution from the newly established communist regime in Poland. The NSZ is remembered for its commitment to Polish independence and has become a symbol of national resilience and resistance in Polish history.
