Narodowe Siły Zbrojne
Narodowe Siły Zbrojne (NSZ) was a Polish nationalist military organization active mainly during World War II and shortly afterward. It aimed to fight occupying German and Soviet forces, promote Polish independence, and oppose communist influence. Comprising volunteer soldiers, NSZ operated clandestinely and sometimes engaged in violent actions, including conflicts with rival groups. Its members held strong patriotic and anti-communist beliefs, which influenced their activities. The organization’s legacy is complex, viewed by some as patriotic resistance and by others as controversial due to their involvement in acts of violence during turbulent wartime periods.
