Monocular Vision

Monocular vision refers to the ability to see using just one eye. While it provides depth perception and the ability to gauge distance, primarily through size and perspective cues, it lacks the full depth information that comes from binocular vision (using both eyes). This means that while monocular vision is effective for many tasks, it can make depth judgment less precise compared to binocular vision. Animals, including humans, may rely on monocular vision when one eye is injured or when observing distant objects, highlighting its importance in various visual contexts.
