Mishnah

The Mishnah is a foundational text in Jewish law and traditions, compiled around 200 CE by Rabbi Judah the Prince. It organizes and records oral laws that had been passed down through generations, covering various topics such as ethics, holidays, and agricultural practices. The Mishnah is structured into six orders (Sedarim), each containing multiple tractates (Masechtot). It serves as a primary source for rabbinic discussions and Jewish legal thought, later forming the basis for the Talmud, which elaborates on its teachings. The Mishnah remains central to Jewish study and practice today.
