Liquid Oxygen (LOX)
Liquid oxygen (LOX) is oxygen that has been cooled to very low temperatures, around -183 degrees Celsius (-297 degrees Fahrenheit), causing it to condense into a pale blue liquid. It is primarily used as an oxidizer in rocket propulsion, where it helps fuel combustion by providing the necessary oxygen. LOX is also utilized in medical applications and industrial processes. Due to its high reactivity, it must be handled with care. When it warms up, it returns to gas and can support combustion more efficiently than regular oxygen in the atmosphere.
