liquid oxygen

Liquid oxygen is the state of oxygen gas cooled to extremely low temperatures, around -183°C (-297°F), turning it into a clear, pale blue, highly condensed liquid. It is used primarily in aerospace and industrial applications as an oxidizer in rocket fuel, providing the oxygen necessary for combustion at high speeds. Because it is so cold, it must be stored in special insulated containers to prevent it from warming and turning back into gas. Liquid oxygen is essential for enabling rockets to burn fuel efficiently in space and for various medical and manufacturing processes.
