Linear Elamite script
Linear Elamite is an ancient writing system used in the Elamite civilization, which thrived in what is now southwestern Iran around 2300-800 BCE. It consists of a series of linear signs and was primarily used for recording administrative and economic information. The script is distinct from cuneiform, which was also used in the region. Despite its historical significance, Linear Elamite remains largely undeciphered, with only a few texts and inscriptions understood. Scholars believe it reflects a complex language and culture, but much about its structure and usage remains a mystery due to limited available evidence.
