Lagrangian Mechanics

Lagrangian Mechanics is an approach in physics that studies motion. Instead of tracking position and velocity (as in Newtonian mechanics), it focuses on energy. It considers the difference between kinetic energy (energy of movement) and potential energy (energy an object has due to its position or condition). The system is then described by a simple equation, the Lagrangian, which is the key to predicting how the system will behave in the future. This method is particularly beneficial in complex situations, helping us understand everything from how a pendulum swings to particles interacting at a quantum level.
