Kurdish people

The Kurdish people are an ethnic group primarily found in a region known as Kurdistan, which spans parts of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria. They share a distinct language, Kurdish, and a rich cultural heritage that includes unique traditions, music, and folklore. Kurds have a long history of seeking autonomy and recognition, often facing political and social challenges. Despite this, they have established a significant degree of self-governance in northern Iraq, known as the Kurdistan Region. The Kurdish struggle includes aspirations for greater rights, cultural identity, and political autonomy amid complex regional dynamics.
