Khởi nghĩa Yên Bái

Khởi nghĩa Yên Bái, or the Yên Bái mutiny, was a revolutionary uprising in Vietnam against French colonial rule, occurring in February 1930. Led by the Vietnamese Nationalist Party (VNQDĐ), it aimed to inspire broader resistance against French oppression and establish independence. The uprising involved a series of coordinated attacks on French authorities and military installations in the Yên Bái province. Although it was ultimately suppressed by French forces, it highlighted the growing anti-colonial sentiment in Vietnam and influenced future movements for independence, contributing to the struggle that eventually led to Vietnam’s liberation from colonial rule.
