Chiến tranh Đông Dương
The Chiến tranh Đông Dương (Indochina War) was a conflict from 1946 to 1954 between Vietnamese independence fighters and French colonial forces, aiming for Vietnam’s independence after decades of French rule. It was part of the broader decolonization movement and reflected Vietnam's desire for self-determination. The war ended with the decisive Battle of Dien Bien Phu, leading to the Geneva Accords, which temporarily divided Vietnam and set the stage for future conflicts, notably the Vietnam War. It was a significant struggle that marked Vietnam’s fight for independence and influenced regional and global politics.
