Quốc Dân Đảng

The Quốc Dân Đảng (Nationalist Party) was a major political group in Vietnam during the early 20th century, founded in 1927 to promote independence from French colonial rule. It aimed to unify Vietnamese people through nationalism, modern political ideas, and resistance strategies. The party sought constitutional reforms and collaborated at times with other groups to oppose colonial authorities. Although it played a significant role in Vietnam’s struggle for independence, its influence waned after the August Revolution in 1945, leading to the establishment of the Viet Minh-led government. The Quốc Dân Đảng remains an important symbol of Vietnam’s early nationalist movement.
