Kassite Language

The Kassite language was spoken by the Kassites, an ancient people who settled in what is now modern Iraq around the 17th century BCE. It is considered a language isolate, meaning it has no known relatives, and is not clearly related to any other language family. The Kassites ruled Babylon for several centuries, but much of their language remains largely undeciphered. Most of what we know comes from inscriptions and names in Babylonian texts. This lack of comprehensive understanding makes the language an intriguing subject for linguists and historians studying ancient Near Eastern cultures.
