
Isabella of Portugal (Queen of Portugal)
Isabella of Portugal was a 16th-century queen, known for her marriage to King John III of Portugal. Born in 1503, she was the daughter of King Manuel I of Portugal and his wife, Maria of Aragon. Isabella played a key role in strengthening ties between Portugal and Spain through her marriage. She was also involved in the political landscape of her time, including issues related to the Age of Discoveries. Isabella is remembered for her influence on Portuguese culture and politics during a significant period of exploration and expansion. She passed away in 1539.
