IQ
IQ, or Intelligence Quotient, is a measure used to assess a person’s cognitive abilities relative to others. It is derived from standardized tests that evaluate skills such as reasoning, problem-solving, memory, and verbal understanding. An IQ score provides a snapshot of a person’s intellectual functioning compared to the average population, where a score of 100 is considered average. While IQ can offer insights into certain mental capabilities, it does not encompass all forms of intelligence, creativity, emotional understanding, or practical skills, which are also vital aspects of individual ability.
