Individualized Education Program (IEP)
An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a legal document created for students with disabilities to ensure they receive personalized support in school. It outlines specific learning goals, the services and accommodations the student will receive, and how progress will be measured. The IEP is developed collaboratively by educators, parents, and sometimes the student, taking into account the child's unique needs. The goal is to provide an appropriate educational experience that helps the student succeed academically and socially within the general education environment.
