Pupil Disorders

Pupil disorders refer to abnormalities related to the pupils of the eyes, which are the small openings that control how much light enters. Normal pupils change size in response to light and focus. Disorders can include conditions where pupils are unequal in size (anisocoria), don’t respond properly to light (reduced reactivity), or remain fixed and dilated (mydriasis) or constricted (miosis). These changes can signal underlying health issues affecting the nervous system, eye muscles, or other conditions. A thorough eye examination is essential for diagnosis and understanding the potential causes of these pupil abnormalities.
