illusion

An illusion is a distortion of the senses, revealing how our perception can differ from reality. It occurs when our brain misinterprets information received from our eyes, ears, or other senses, leading us to perceive something that isn’t there, or to see objects differently than they actually are. Illusions can be visual, like optical illusions, or auditory, like sound illusions. They demonstrate how our brain processes information, often filling in blanks or making assumptions, which can sometimes lead to misleading experiences of the world around us.
