Haldighati

Haldighati is a historic mountain pass located in the Aravalli Range of Rajasthan, India. It is famously known for the Battle of Haldighati, fought in 1576 between the forces of Maharana Pratap, the Rajput king, and the Mughal army led by Man Singh I. This battle is significant in Indian history as it symbolizes the resistance of Rajput valor against Mughal expansion. The region is also noted for its distinctive yellow soil, which resembles turmeric, leading to its name "Haldighati," meaning "the place of yellow soil." Today, it is a popular tourist site, reflecting India's rich heritage.
