Governor-General of Pakistan
The Governor-General of Pakistan was the representative of the British Crown in the country during the period of its independence in 1947 until the adoption of a constitution in 1956. The role involved overseeing the administration of the new nation and ensuring smooth governance during its transition from British rule to independence. The first Governor-General was Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who played a crucial role in the creation of Pakistan. Once the country established its parliamentary system, the position was replaced by the President, marking the shift from a dominion to a republic.
