Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a prominent political leader and the founder of Pakistan, born in 1876 in British India. Initially a member of the Indian National Congress, he later advocated for the rights of Muslims in India. As the leader of the All-India Muslim League, Jinnah argued for a separate nation for Muslims, leading to the creation of Pakistan in 1947. He served as Pakistan's first Governor-General until his death in 1948. Jinnah is often referred to as "Quaid-e-Azam," meaning "Great Leader," and is remembered for his role in shaping the country’s identity and governance.
