
Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, bordered by Spain to the north. It is strategically positioned at the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea, opposite Morocco. Known for the iconic Rock of Gibraltar, a limestone promontory, it has a rich history influenced by various cultures, including the Moors and British. The territory has its own government but is under British sovereignty. Gibraltar has a unique economy, heavily reliant on tourism, finance, and shipping, and it is also famous for its Barbary macaques, the only wild monkeys in Europe.
