Gettier Problems

Gettier Problems highlight situations where a person has a justified true belief, yet still lacks knowledge. For example, imagine someone sees a clock showing 3 PM and believes it’s 3 PM, just as the clock happens to be broken but coincidentally shows the correct time. They have a justified belief (the clock) and it’s true (it is, in fact, 3 PM), but we wouldn't say they truly "know" it's 3 PM, because their justification is flawed. Gettier Problems challenge the traditional definition of knowledge, suggesting it's more complex than simply having justified true beliefs.
