Geodynamo Theory
Geodynamo theory explains how Earth generates its magnetic field. It suggests that the motion of molten iron in the outer core creates electric currents, which in turn produce magnetic fields. As the Earth rotates, these currents organize into a stable, self-sustaining system, resulting in a magnetic field that extends into space. This magnetic field protects the planet from solar radiation and helps guide navigation. Essentially, it’s the dynamic movement of conductive materials deep within Earth that powers our planet's magnetic shield.
