fundus photography
Fundus photography is a medical imaging technique used to capture detailed photos of the interior surface of the eye, including the retina, optic disk, and blood vessels. This procedure allows eye specialists to diagnose and monitor various eye conditions, such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration. During the process, a special camera takes high-resolution images of the back of the eye after dilating the pupils to provide a clearer view. The resulting images help doctors assess eye health and plan appropriate treatments.
