Frontex

Frontex, officially known as the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, is the European Union agency responsible for managing the EU's external borders. Established in 2004, its primary role is to support member states in protecting their borders, particularly against illegal immigration and human trafficking. Frontex coordinates training for border guards, conducts risk analyses, and may deploy operations to assist countries facing significant migration challenges. It aims to enhance safety and security while ensuring respect for human rights, facilitating cooperation among EU member states to maintain effective border control.
