Fred Haise

Fred Haise is an American astronaut and a key figure in NASA's Apollo program. Born in 1933, he is best known for being a lunar module pilot on Apollo 13, the mission that famously encountered life-threatening technical failures en route to the Moon in 1970. Despite the challenges, he and his crew worked together to safely return to Earth, showcasing human ingenuity and teamwork. Haise also flew on the Space Shuttle program.
