Project Apollo

Project Apollo was NASA’s historic program to land humans on the Moon and bring them safely back to Earth, conducted between 1961 and 1972. It involved developing advanced spacecraft, like the Apollo Command Module and Lunar Module, to carry astronauts, conduct lunar surface exploration, and ensure safe re-entry. The program achieved the first successful Moon landing with Apollo 11 in 1969, where astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the lunar surface. Apollo advanced space technology, science, and international prestige, marking a significant milestone in human space exploration.
