Experience Machine

The Experience Machine is a thought experiment proposed by philosopher Robert Nozick. It asks us to imagine a virtual reality machine that can provide pleasurable experiences indistinguishable from real life. You could plug into this machine and live out blissful experiences for eternity. However, Nozick's challenge is to consider whether we would choose to live in this artificial reality instead of engaging with real life, with its challenges and unpredictable experiences. The thought experiment raises questions about the nature of happiness, reality, and what we truly value in life.
