European Fusion Development Agreement

The European Fusion Development Agreement (EFDA) is a collaborative initiative among European countries aimed at advancing nuclear fusion research, which seeks to replicate the sun's energy production on Earth. Fusion has the potential to provide a nearly limitless source of clean energy without the long-lived radioactive waste associated with traditional nuclear fission. EFDA coordinates research and development efforts, shares knowledge, and involves various fusion projects, most notably the ITER project in France, which is a large-scale experiment to demonstrate the feasibility of fusion as a sustainable energy source for the future.
