Ethical Non-naturalism
Ethical Non-naturalism is a philosophical view within Moral Realism that posits moral facts exist independently of human beliefs or feelings, but cannot be reduced to natural properties like emotions or social contracts. This means that moral truths are objective and discoverable, yet are not derived from scientific or empirical observations. In contrast, Moral Anti-realism denies the existence of such objective moral truths. Ethical Non-naturalists argue that moral statements are true in a way similar to mathematical truths—dependent on moral properties that transcend the physical world.
