Epistemology of History, within Philosophy of History, is the exploration of how knowledge about the past is formed and validated. It questions if, and how, we can truly know historical events, given they cannot be directly observed or tested. This involves understanding the reliability of historical sources, the role of interpretation, and how concepts like objectivity and bias affect historical accounts. It's akin to piecing together a picture from fragments, each with different shapes and colors—including perspectives and narratives—and deciding the truest image.
