Empire of Serbia
The Empire of Serbia, also known as the Serbian Empire, existed during the 14th century under the rule of Tsar Stefan Dušan. It expanded significantly, encompassing parts of modern-day Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, and Greece. The empire reached its peak around 1355, marked by military conquests and economic growth. Dušan implemented legal reforms and promoted the Serbian Orthodox Church. However, after Dušan's death in 1355, internal strife and external pressures led to its decline, ultimately falling under Ottoman control in the late 15th century. The legacy of the empire still influences Serbian culture and national identity today.
